What actually changes between the Japanese and English version of a card?

Summary

The two versions are separately produced products, and the pack size, price, and release date can all differ even when the card list is identical. In the first booster sets of GUNDAM CARD GAME and Dragon Ball Super Fusion World, a Japanese pack holds 6 cards and an English pack holds 12. Prices for packs and for the cards pulled from them therefore form separate markets for each language.

In each pair the number of card types in the set matches: 130+6 for GD01, 140 for FB01, and 131+4 for OP-17. The difference lies in how many cards go into each pack and what the pack costs.

Separate prices for separate printings

A Japanese copy and an English copy with the same number and art are bought and sold as different items, so the price of one tells you little about the other. The same goes for packs. When one pack holds twice as many cards as the other, the per-card cost is a different number altogether.
