How many Units, Pilots, Commands, and Bases go in a GUNDAM CARD GAME deck?
Summary
The rules only set the totals: exactly 50 cards, no more than two colors, and up to four copies of any card number. The mix is up to you, but the official deck-building primer from July 25, 2025, suggests 25 to 28 Units, 6 to 8 Pilots, 8 to 10 Commands, and 4 to 6 Bases.
How the primer builds that mix
You can play a card once the number of Resources you have reaches its Lv., and you pay its cost by resting that many Resources. With that in mind, the primer warns that a deck full of high-level cards has nothing to play early, and suggests about 16 to 20 Units at Lv. 3 or lower.
For copies, it sorts cards into four groups. Put in four of a card you always want to see, three of one that is strong but only needs to show up once, two of one that helps but is not essential, and one of a card you only want now and then. The resource deck is 10 cards, and there is no limit on copies of the same resource card.
The primer describes four colors: blue, green, red, and white. Purple arrived later, with the Iron Bloom starter deck (ST05) in September 2025.
Official sample decks and the restricted list
The DECKS section of the official site lists decks built by the publisher, newest first. Five were posted on July 24, 2026, including Blue-White Orb and Red-Purple Neo Zeon. To build and save your own list, the primer points to the Create My Deck feature in the BANDAI TCG+ app.
Under the banned and restricted list effective July 24, 2026, GD01-020 Anksha is banned, ST02-016 Corsica Base is limited to two copies across your deck and sideboard, and ST01-010 Amuro Ray and ST05-010 Mikazuki Augus cannot be used together.
